According to official previews and spy photos, the new electric Tiguan shows a thoroughly revamped design rather than just a facelift, with new body panels and updated styling cues consistent with recent VW EV models.
Fresh Design and Updated Features

Improved Range and Performance
Volkswagen will upgrade the electric powertrain with a more efficient motor that reduces energy consumption but maintains strong performance. Battery packs, still based on nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) chemistry, are expected to increase in capacity.
This combination could enable the new ID. Tiguan to achieve over 600 km (approx. 373 miles) of driving range on a single charge, a meaningful jump from the current ID.4.
Launch Timeline and Pricing
The ID. Tiguan is slated for a debut by the end of summer 2026 and will be one of Volkswagen’s highlights at the Paris Motor Show. It will arrive at dealerships shortly afterward, carrying an expected price premium of around €3,000 over the current ID.4 model.
