Xiaomi’s Mijia brand has started crowdfunding for a new portable vacuum cleaner designed mainly for car use. Priced at 189 yuan (about $26) during crowdfunding and expected to retail around 269 yuan (about $37), this compact device combines powerful suction with a foldable design and multiple attachments for versatile cleaning.
Strong Suction in a Portable Package
The vacuum uses a 35mm brushless motor that spins up to 150,000 rpm. This delivers a suction force of 20,000Pa, which is noteworthy for a handheld model focused on car cleaning. Despite its slim shape, it promises effective dirt and dust removal.
Easy to Use and Store
Weighing only 446 grams, the vacuum can be held comfortably with one hand, reducing fatigue during cleaning. It folds down for easy storage and, when unfolded, its elongated body helps reach tight spots like under car seats and inside trunks without much effort.
Battery Life and Charging
Equipped with three 2,500mAh lithium batteries, the vacuum runs up to 40 minutes in energy-saving mode. Switching to a higher suction setting reduces runtime to about 16 minutes. It charges via a USB Type-C port with 22.5W fast charging, allowing quick turnaround between uses.
Accessories Cover Many Cleaning Needs
The vacuum comes with several useful attachments:
- A crevice nozzle for narrow gaps such as seat seams and door pockets
- A soft brush for delicate surfaces like dashboards and vents
- An air blower nozzle for blowing away dust or leaves and cleaning cup holders
- A wide suction head with an electrostatic sticker to improve cleaning over larger areas
- An inflatable nozzle capable of quickly filling items like swimming rings, combining vacuum and air blow functions
Dust Separation and Easy Maintenance
The vacuum features a dust-air separation system using centrifugal force to keep dust from clogging filters, maintaining strong suction longer. The cyclone component and filter are removable and washable, making maintenance simple and reducing replacement needs.
Currently available for crowdfunding in China, this Xiaomi Mijia Portable Car Vacuum Cleaner offers a practical and versatile option for users looking for an affordable, easy-to-handle cleaning tool for cars and small spaces.
