Stellantis gave an early look at six new concept cars from its brands just before the 2026 Paris Motor Show. These concepts highlight the company’s varied approach to future design and technology. They will be part of a larger display featuring over 60 vehicles from eight Stellantis brands.
Six Concepts Reflect Diverse Innovations
Under the direction of Gilles Vidal, Head of Design for Enlarged Europe, the six concept cars each come from a different Stellantis brand. They show how the company plans to blend design with technology to meet customer needs in the coming years.
Among the concepts:
- Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso: Focused on delivering performance and driving enjoyment. It features a proposed 2.9-litre V6 full-hybrid engine with all-wheel drive, combining tradition with hybrid technology.
- Citroën 2 CV Concept: A modern electric reinterpretation of the classic 2 CV, priced around €15,000. The concept aims to keep the original’s simplicity and accessibility alive but in a fully electric format made in Europe.
- DS F3VER: A design-forward concept exploring personalization and versatility, pointing toward a more distinctive future for DS Automobiles.
- FIAT Multiplay: Blends pickup and SUV traits with a flexible interior, renewing FIAT’s focus on adaptable, shared mobility.
- Opel STX Concept: Offers a preview of Opel’s next-generation estate car design, featuring new lighting elements and a sportier shape.
- PEUGEOT RCZ Vision: Represents Peugeot’s future electric high-performance model using the STLA One platform. It introduces steer-by-wire technology and a new version of the i-Cockpit interface.
Strategy and Show Presence
Stellantis executives emphasized how these concepts fit into the FaSTLAne 2030 strategic plan. The plan aims to expand Stellantis’ market share in Europe by 25% through innovation, design, and technology across multiple brands. The concept cars demonstrate progress in areas like electrification, performance, digital user experience, and flexible vehicle formats.
The Paris Motor Show will feature the largest Stellantis stand ever, with nine concept cars, six premieres, and a total of more than 60 vehicles on display, showcasing the varied direction of the group’s eight brands presented, including Leapmotor as a key partner.
This early preview event, called “The Night Before,” set the tone for Stellantis’ future plans and gave a clear look at several of the ideas that will influence upcoming production models.
