Chinese brand Omoda has teased its upcoming SUV, the Omoda X, ahead of its official reveal later this year. The new model will join the brand’s growing lineup in 2027 and signals a fresh direction for Omoda as it strengthens its presence in the European market.
Teaser Highlights Unique Design Approach
The first hints of the Omoda X came during the 2026 Paris Motor Show, where the brand showcased its updated Omoda 5 and unveiled plans for future releases. While the Omoda X itself did not appear at the event, the company shared sketches revealing its general design language. These drawings suggest a bold, dynamic look that aims to blend sporty agility with off-road toughness.
Omoda describes the Omoda X as the start of a new era branded “CROSSVOLUTION.” This concept aims to combine opposing qualities—the excitement of a sports car with the durability of an adventure SUV—offering a distinctive style and driving experience. The SUV will explore new design elements, technology, and personal expression that the brand says will set it apart.

Launch and Technical Details Still Under Wraps
The full reveal of the Omoda X is scheduled for October 20 at the International User Summit hosted by Chery Group, Omoda’s parent company. This event will also present the brand’s broader vision, including innovations in exterior and interior design as well as user experience.
At this stage, Omoda has not shared any mechanical or technical specifications for the Omoda X. However, based on the company’s current trends and electrification strategy visible in its existing models, it is likely that the new SUV will feature some form of electrified powertrain.
Further information about markets, powertrain options, and pricing is expected to be announced closer to the vehicle’s launch in 2027.
