Mercedes-AMG’s upcoming CLE 63 Mythos promises to be a top-performance model with a design that echoes the legendary CLK Black Series. A recent rendering based on insider hints imagines what the high-performance coupe might look like when it enters production.
Design Highlights Reflect Classic AMG Performance Heritage
The CLE 63 Mythos appears to take inspiration from the Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series, which was made between 2007 and 2009 in limited numbers. The rendered version shows wider front and rear tracks, a vented hood, and an aggressive front bumper featuring the signature Panamericana grille. At the rear, a large diffuser and a prominent wing suggest strong aerodynamic focus. The tailpipes are stacked diagonally, contributing to a sporty look, while bi-tone V-spoke wheels complete the all-black exterior.
Powertrain and Production Details Still Emerging
Under the hood, the Mythos is expected to use a new 4.0-liter V8 engine with a flat-plane crank and twin turbos. Exact power figures remain unconfirmed, but reports suggest it could produce about 650 metric horsepower (641 bhp). This is a noticeable increase compared to the expected 600 bhp for the regular CLE 63 and far above the 443 bhp of the CLE 53’s six-cylinder.
The CLE 63 Mythos may be a very limited offering, with production reportedly capped at just 30 units worldwide. Pricing could start at over $500,000, with some sources suggesting it might approach $800,000. The official launch date has yet to be announced but might occur before the end of 2026.
This high-performance coupe will sit at the top of Mercedes-AMG’s lineup, initially using the new V8 engine exclusive to this range-topping model before seeing wider application.
