Genesis is preparing a mid-cycle refresh for its flagship G90 luxury sedan. Recent spy photos reveal a revised front end and hint at significant changes inside the cabin.
Sleeker Front End with Illuminated Grille
The prototype shows a narrower grille than before, maintaining the distinctive crest shape Genesis is known for. Notably, the grille’s lower edge features illumination, suggesting the entire grille surround lights up for a striking presence at night. The headlights still follow the brand’s signature Two Line design but look sharper and more streamlined.
The lower front bumper has been redesigned with new chrome accents, giving the sedan a crisper look. While rear details remain unseen in the recent images, a restyled bumper and redesigned taillights are expected based on usual mid-cycle updates.

Interior Changes Shift Toward Traditional Design
Earlier spy shots revealed that the new G90’s instrument cluster moves away from the typical full-screen displays. Instead, it shows round gauges that either could be analog or advanced digital dials designed to look classic. This interior choice sets the G90 apart from rival luxury sedans, which usually rely heavily on touchscreen instruments.
The infotainment system is also expected to receive a refresh, possibly with a larger screen, but the car should keep physical buttons and switches, maintaining user-friendly controls over an entirely touchscreen setup.
Powertrain Likely Unchanged for This Refresh
As a mid-cycle update, the G90 will probably continue with its current engines. This includes a twin-turbo V6 with 375 horsepower and a more powerful mild-hybrid V6 version producing 409 horsepower. There is also speculation about a plug-in hybrid variant, but details have yet to be confirmed.
Launch Timing and Market Plans
Genesis is expected to reveal the refreshed G90 later this year. The sedan will then enter the North American market in 2024, with sales beginning before the end of 2027. Although the G90 doesn’t lead Genesis in sales, it remains a key player aimed at buyers who want a luxurious alternative to German and Japanese flagship sedans.
