BMW has put its upcoming i3 Touring prototype through some tough tests at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. This new version builds on the existing i3 Neue Klasse sedan, which has already started production and found success with buyers.
What the Spy Photos Show
The spy images reveal a distinct wagon shape with clearer series production features. Notably, the i3 Touring sports a black roof, aero-style wheels, and larger rear doors compared to the sedan. Interestingly, only the front fascia remains camouflaged, while most other design details appear final or very close to production.
Testing Highlights and Performance
The prototype was pushed hard around the Nürburgring shortly after beginning its testing phase. Impressively, it managed to deliver lap times under eight minutes on its very first day at the track.
