FIAT Sees 21.7% Growth in European Sales in First Half of 2026

FIAT has reported a strong sales performance across Europe in the first half of 2026, with registrations rising by 21.7% compared to the same period last year. The brand’s market share in the EU29 region increased to 3.3%, marking the highest growth among Stellantis’ core brands.

Strong Sales in Key European Markets

Italy continues to be FIAT’s largest market, where it captured a 12.6% share during the first six months, up 1.2 percentage points from 2025. Other countries also showed impressive gains, including:

  • France: registrations up 35.8%
  • Germany: growth of 24.6%
  • Poland: increase of 35.1%
  • Belgium-Luxembourg: rise of 15.9%
  • United Kingdom: up 16.7%
  • Portugal: growth of 11.6%
  • Austria: a standout market with registrations jumping 74.5% and a 2.5% market share

Popular Models Driving Growth

FIAT’s success is largely credited to its strong lineup of core models. The Panda continues to lead the internal combustion engine (ICE) segment for small city cars (A-segment) across Europe and remains Italy’s best-selling car. Meanwhile, the FIAT 500 has retaken the lead in Germany’s A-segment, boosting FIAT’s profile in the city-car category.

The newer Grande Panda is also making a significant impact in the B-hatch market segment, leading in Italy and ranking as the third best-selling car overall there.

Electric and Commercial Vehicle Success

FIAT continues to dominate the European electric quadricycle segment with the Topolino model. Since last year, Topolino has held its top position and saw its best quarter ever for orders, increasing by 30%. The model leads in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and Belgium.

In the commercial vehicle sector, FIAT Professional gained a 7.6% market share in EU29 countries, maintaining its leadership in Italy with a 24.8% share. The Ducato was the best-selling Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) in Italy during the first half of the year, leading its entire segment. The Doblò also performed well, ranking third overall and leading its segment.

Looking Forward

With strong sales momentum and the launch of new products underway, FIAT aims to build on this positive trend in the second half of 2026. The brand focuses on making mobility accessible and practical for a broad range of customers.
