Fiat is preparing to launch two new compact SUVs, the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback, in Spain on January 5, 2027. These models mark Fiat’s return to the family SUV segment, featuring a range of gasoline, mild hybrid, and fully electric powertrains. Pricing for the entry-level petrol version is expected to start at about €20,000.
Two Different Styles on the Same Platform
Both SUVs share the Stellantis “Smart Car” platform that underpins the Fiat Grande Panda, Citroën C3, and C3 Aircross. The Grizzly offers a traditional SUV look with straight lines and spacious interiors, measuring 4.36 meters long. In contrast, the Grizzly Fastback is longer at 4.79 meters and features a sportier, coupe-like roofline, giving it a dynamic stance.
The Grizzly Fastback provides more cargo space with a 608-litre trunk, compared to 545 litres in the Grizzly, although this comes at the expense of rear headroom due to the sloping roof.

New Interior With Practical Features
Inside, the Grizzly models offer a fresh cabin design that blends new Fiat parts with some elements from the Grande Panda. The dashboard has hard plastics on top, with softer materials used on the door handles and armrests.
The climate controls remain physical knobs, located separately from the central 10.25-inch touchscreen that includes a digital instrument cluster. The steering wheel houses controls for driver aids and audio, including quick-access buttons to disable lane-keeping and speed-limit warnings. The floating central console offers space for storage, two cup holders, USB-C ports, and wireless phone charging.
Rear passengers get generous legroom and headroom, though a raised central tunnel limits comfort for the middle seat occupant. The Grizzly’s boot also has practical extras like a double floor, side pockets, a hook for bags, and a 12-volt socket.

Multiple Powertrain Options From Launch
Fiat will launch the Grizzly with three powertrain options:
- A 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine with 101 hp and a six-speed manual gearbox
- A mild hybrid version of the same engine featuring 145 hp and a seven-speed automatic transmission, using a 48-volt system
- A fully electric version offering 113 hp, powered by a 53 kWh battery
All powertrains will be available from the start. The electric model’s range or charging details have yet to be confirmed.

Made in Morocco, Sold Worldwide
The Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback are produced in Stellantis’ Kenitra plant in Morocco. Fiat plans to export these SUVs to over 100 countries across three global regions, indicating a broad market focus rather than a Europe-only launch.
Orders for both models in European markets, including Spain, will begin on January 5, 2027.
This new Fiat duo expands the brand’s family SUV lineup beyond the Grande Panda, offering modern features, diverse engines, and competitive pricing aimed at shoppers seeking affordable and versatile vehicles under 4.5 meters in length.
