At the 2026 Paris Motor Show, Leapmotor unveiled key steps in its European growth strategy, including the debut of its new B03 urban hatchback, the advanced D19 SUV, and confirmation that production of the best-selling B10 has started in Spain. This move marks a significant push towards closer local production tailored for European customers.
Introducing the B03: A Smart Hatchback for City Drivers
The B03 made its European debut as Leapmotor’s entry into the competitive compact electric car segment. Built on the latest Compact Electric Platform, it offers a reported range of up to 390 km according to WLTP standards. The car supports fast charging at 2.5C, allowing it to recharge from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes.
Powered by an electric motor producing up to 145 kW, the B03 balances responsive driving with practicality for everyday urban use. Despite its small size, it claims class-leading interior space, including 888 mm of rear legroom and a versatile luggage area. It also features several clever storage solutions such as a waterproof “Leap Box” and flexible rear seats.
The B03’s cabin focuses on connectivity and comfort, equipped with a 14.6-inch floating touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and the latest Leap OS 4.0 Plus software. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus over-the-air updates. Notably, it offers comfort features like heated seats and a heated steering wheel, which are uncommon in this segment.
Safety is a strong focus, with 21 advanced driver assistance systems enabled by an updated electronic architecture. Leapmotor aims to offer a compact EV that’s both smart and reassuring on the road.

D19 SUV Highlights Leapmotor’s Tech Leadership
The D19 SUV on display shows Leapmotor’s ambitions beyond the compact market. This flagship SUV offers a spacious interior with six- or seven-seat layouts and executive-style second-row captain’s chairs in its premium setup.
The D19 features Leapmotor’s latest Super REEV hybrid technology and a Cell-to-Chassis battery design. It promises long-distance driving capability, quick charging, and a suspension system that adapts to road conditions.
Local Production Begins in Spain for the B10
Leapmotor confirmed the start of European production for the B10 at a new facility in Zaragoza, Spain. Built in partnership with Stellantis, this plant signifies Leapmotor’s “local-for-local” approach, aiming to better meet European customer needs by manufacturing vehicles within the region.
Leapmotor Expands Its European Presence
At the Paris Motor Show, Leapmotor featured its largest European exhibition yet, with a 500-square-meter stand displaying its broadest lineup. The brand introduced interactive elements including a gaming area and its first merchandising corner offering branded apparel and accessories.
Additionally, Leapmotor customers gain access to the Stellantis-operated Free2move Charge network with over one million public charging points across Europe. This partnership supports owners in practical electric mobility beyond the vehicle itself.
Leapmotor’s combination of new models, local production, and a growing support network shows its dedication to expanding its footprint and appeal in Europe’s electric vehicle market.
