Photos from Google reviews will also be included, giving drivers a glimpse of the destination before arrival. This feature aims to provide familiar and helpful information directly on the car’s display, making it safer and easier to get ready for your stop while on the road.
Gemini’s Growing Role Despite Ongoing Issues
Gemini AI has been available on Android Auto for some time, but its performance has drawn criticism. Users report problems like failed phone calls, inability to send texts, and excessive talking that can distract drivers. The AI has also caused some app crashes, forcing manual interaction.
Despite these setbacks, Google continues to invest in Gemini, planning to expand its functions as it prepares to phase out the older Google Assistant on Android Auto.
