Peugeot is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its compact van Partner and the 10th anniversary of the Traveller passenger vehicle. Both models have been key players in Europe’s commercial vehicle market, known for their practicality and reliability for professional use.
Three Generations of the Peugeot Partner
Launched in 1996, the Partner quickly became popular for its strong build, spacious load area, and driver comfort. It gained a reputation as a durable and versatile van for businesses.
The second generation, introduced in 2008, offered more load space, better comfort, improved technology, and enhanced driving stability.
The current third generation, launched in 2018 and refreshed in 2023, is built on the advanced EMP2 platform. It features the Peugeot i-Cockpit®, comes in standard and long wheelbase versions—including a crew van—and offers petrol, diesel, and a fully electric E-Partner option. A mild hybrid version is expected by 2027.

Expanded Partner Range for Diverse Needs
Peugeot continues to develop the Partner range to meet evolving demands:
- Partner Active: Revealed in June 2026, this entry-level model includes key features like Flexiseat, a modular passenger seat that folds to increase load space by up to 0.5 m³.
- Partner Pro Skill: Unveiled at IAA Transportation in Hanover, this version targets tough work environments. It includes the Construction Pack with higher ground clearance, engine protection, and Grip Control with Hill Descent Assist. A four-wheel-drive option developed by Dangel is also available.
Traveller’s Decade of Versatility
Since its 2016 launch, the Traveller has been a versatile, comfortable choice for passenger transport. Based on the EMP2 platform, it is offered in diesel and fully electric E-Traveller versions, with seating for up to nine people and flexible cargo space.
The Traveller is also a preferred VIP shuttle at major cultural and sporting events supported by Peugeot, including international film festivals and the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Why It Matters
Peugeot’s Partner and Traveller have proven their value to professionals over many years. The continuous updates and expanded range show the brand’s commitment to meeting practical needs with reliable, adaptable, and increasingly sustainable vehicles.
