The problem
Faulty coding of the door control unit can lead to the cancelling of the protective function of the exit warning assistance system. If a door is opened after the ignition is switched off in a hazardous situation there is no optical or acoustic warning. This may increase the risk of injury to the occupants of the vehicle.
