European Union 2023–2025

Scania G-SERIES, L-SERIES, P-SERIES, R-SERIES, S-SERIES

A circumferential crack may develop in the tyre sidewall and spread during use. This could cause a rapid loss of tyre pressure, affecting vehicle stability and increasing the risk of an accident.
European Union 2024–2026

Scania L-SERIE, P-SERIE, G-SERIE, R-SERIE, S-SERIE

A transmission fault may cause the vehicle to accidentally go into a false neutral position and move forward unexpectedly. In some cases, the sensor may show the vehicle is in “neutral” even though a gear is engaged.
European Union 2022

Scania Series Trucks LPGRS

The nut can unscrew itself as the connecting force is insufficient when the nut is placed on the end fork. This can cause an oil leak, damage to the central mechanics, or cause the transmission shaft to come loose, increasing the risk of an accident.
European Union 2021

Scania LPGRS-Series

The track rods may be improperly manufactured, which can lead to that the track rod ball joint can become detached. This might cause loss of steering, creating a risk of an accident and injury.
European Union 2019–2020

Scania R500, S730

Defective fastening of the tilt cylinder may cause unintentional tilting of the driver's cab.
European Union 2019–2020

Scania R-Serie, S-Serie

A wiring harness incorrectly installed in the vehicles could lead to chafing on the supplementary heating console. The EBS/ABS and the vehicle’s outer lighting could fail.
European Union 2018–2020

Scania I6, Scaia Citywide, Scania Higer

Defective gas pressure regulators cause the tank to crack. If the gas tank cranks, persons in the near area could be injured due to the high internal pressure of the tank.
European Union 2018–2020

Scania Irizar, Citywide LF, Touring HD

The heat shrink wrapping on the wiring harness may be defective. As a result the risk of fire will be increased.
European Union 2018–2020

Scania S410, S450, S500, S520, S580, S730

A malfunction may cause cracks in the fuel hoses and seals when the fuel becomes warm. Leaking gas could ignite.
European Union 2016–2019

Scania S410, S450, S500, S520, S580, S730 and others

In some cases, the electronic parking brake may accidentally disengage, allowing the vehicle to roll away. European Union 2015–2018

Scania CN 280 UB4x2EB 11.9 CL1

Cracks forming on the gas-pressure regulating device cause gas to leak leading to a risk of fire.
European Union 2007–2017

Scania 4-, G-, P-, R-series and possibly others

Defective alignment of the steering geometry, or inadequate alignment of the steering stops, may result in chafing of the wheels on the steering column. As a result, the steering column might break, leading to a loss of steering control.
European Union 2010–2017

Scania P-, G-, R-, T-series and L-, S-series

There is insufficient protection from dirt and spray water by the dust covers mounted in the factory. This could cause damage to the CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) tanks and lead to accidents.
European Union 2016–2017

Scania S730, R560, K410

There is a cracking between the ventilation holes of the wheel rims. This can cause the wheel rims to break.
European Union 2017

Scania S 520 A 4x2 NA, R 520 B 6x2 NB and others

null A battery master switch which does not comply with the specification results in the power supply being interrupted; as a consequence the power-assisted steering, ABS, airbags and lighting may fail.
European Union 2016–2017

Scania P-, G-, R-, S-Series

null A loose connection between the universal joint and the upper steering column may result in loss of steering.
European Union 2016

Scania R500 LA 4x2 / K 280 UB 4x2

null Deviations in the steering arm contact surface with the steering connecting rod securing nut allow play between the steering connecting rod fastening nut and the steering arm, affecting the steering behaviour of the vehicle.
European Union 2014

Scania Series P, G, R and T

null Faulty screws were used in the vehicles affected to attach the cab-entry handholds and the seat-belt brackets. Failure of the relevant mounting on entering the cab or in an accident cannot be ruled out, and there is therefore an increased risk of accident and injury.
European Union 2014

Scania R 500 LA 4x2 / K 280 UB 4x2

null A defect in the spring-actuated brake cylinder may result in full or emergency braking being triggered.
European Union 2014

Scania R 500 LA 4x2

null Insufficient tightening torque in the screw connection may result in increased play between the steering column and the power steering box. This may have a negative effect on steering.
