The problem
The hydraulic power steering assistance may decrease considerably while the vehicle is moving and may ultimately fail completely. At low speeds, it might be possible to steer the vehicle only with considerably more effort as a result of the failure of the power steering assistance. This could increase the risk of accident for the following traffic.
