Man TGS, TGX

Vehicles with unleaded lower main bearings can suffer serious engine damage if the engine oil is old or contaminated, or if unauthorised oils or filters are used. Poor lubrication can lead to overheating and seizing or breaking of internal engine parts.
European Union 2023–2025

Man eTGS, eTGX

A crack in the floating-fixed bearing of the battery console can cause the battery pack to detach from the frame, leading to a loss of power. The battery pack could fall onto the road, leading to an accident.
European Union 2024–2025

Man Lions City 12 E, Lions City 18 E

The front retaining clips might be missing in some modules of the vehicle’s roof battery cover. The missing brackets may cause the battery cover to crack along some of the connecting components and cause part of the roof battery cover to shear off, which could cause an accident and injuries to road users.
European Union 2023–2024

Man TGL, TGM, TGS, TGX

Inadequate fastening of the steering shaft and the steering column may lead to separation and a loss of steering, increasing the risk of an accident.
European Union 2017–2023

Man TGL, TGM, TGS, TGX

Due to an incorrect build-up of heat in the area of the 24-volt socket installed in the instrument panel, functions may be compromised. In such cases the component may begin to smolder, which may result in a fire.
European Union 2020–2022

Man TGS, TGX

Insufficiently tightened hexagonal locking nut on the steering rod of the steering column may detach under certain conditions. If the nut is completely lost, the steering system would become disconnected from the vehicle, leading to the inability to steer or control the vehicle, posing a potential risk of accidents…
European Union 2023

Man TGM, TGS, TGX

A loose screw in the steering arm connection may cause the steering rod to detach, leading to loss of vehicle control. This can cause accidents, risk of injury and/or property damage.
European Union 2019–2022

Man Cityliner, Lion's Coach, Skyliner, Tourliner

The affected vehicles contain USB sockets located in the backrests of the passenger seats, which may have faulty soldering points. This could result in heat generation, creating a risk of fire.

Man Lions City

The internal hinge doors could be easily opened due to a faulty connection. This could lead to passengers falling onto the road.
European Union 2021

Man TGS, TGX

The screw connection for the spare wheel carrier may have been tightened with insufficient torque. This may result in the detachment of the bracket and the spare wheel.
European Union 2019–2021

Man TGM, TGS, TGX

In the steering shaft, a friction weld was over-turned and it may fail, letting substances penetrate. Consequently, it could cause cracks in the weld and a loss of steering control, leading to an accident and injuries to the users.
European Union 2018–2020

Grease used to lubricate mechanical components inside the pressure relief device can harden upon prolonged exposure to high heat. This can prevent controlled emergency ventilation of the tanks, which may lead to the gas tank exploding.
European Union 2020

Man TGX

The wheelbase is not recorded in the data set in the vehicle data memory leading to implausible steering or braking interventions by the ESP (Electronic Stability Programme). If, during an ESP intervention, the service brake is applied, the full effect may be delayed, which could initially be perceived by the driver…
European Union 2020

Man Lion`s CIty

The brake-circuit protection, designed to ensure that the brake pressure is maintained over the intact circuit if one brake circuit fails, is not functioning. If one of the two brake circuits fails, the pressure in the other brake circuit also decreases.
European Union 2019–2020

Man Lion’s City: A21, A23, 12C

A grease used to lubricate mechanical components within the pressure relief device may harden in the event of prolonged exposure to high heat. Hardened grease prevents the controlled emergency venting of tanks, leading in the worst case to the gas tank exploding. European Union 1997–2020

Man TGS, TGX, TGM, TGL, Lions Coach

The fatigue strength of the trailer coupling device marked ‘FFV’ may be inadequate due to an anomaly in the manufacturer’s tempering process. As a result, the device could crack and break, increasing the risk of an accident.
European Union 2018–2020
