Chinese EV makers continue strong delivery performances for July 2026, with XPeng and NIO among the top performers. XPeng reported delivering more than 38,000 vehicles, while NIO closely followed with nearly 36,000 units sold. Other brands like Zeekr, Leapmotor, and Lantu also showed notable increases in deliveries, signaling robust demand in the Chinese electric vehicle market.
XPeng and NIO’s Delivery Growth
XPeng delivered around 38,027 vehicles in July 2026, marking a roughly 4% increase compared to the previous year. NIO showed even stronger growth with 35,934 units delivered, which is up 71%. NIO’s sales break down across three brands: the main NIO brand with over 20,000 deliveries (+57.9%), the LEAD brand at just over 10,000 units (+69.9%), and the Firefly brand (萤火虫) with nearly 5,800 deliveries, skyrocketing by 143.9% year-over-year.
Other EV Players Also Gaining Ground
Zeekr‘s deliveries hit 35,837 units, more than doubling by 111%. Leapmotor reported 101,267 vehicles delivered, a 102% rise year-on-year. Lantu handed over 13,189 vehicles in July and saw a 31% cumulative increase for the year so far. Meanwhile, Hongmeng Zhixing and GAC Aion both realized solid monthly growth of 13.7% and 31.7% respectively, with GAC recording close to 35,000 units sold.
Major OEMs and Other Highlights
SAIC Motor’s passenger vehicle division reported retail sales exceeding 77,900 units, up over 8%. SAIC-GM-Wuling’s flagship SUV, the Huajing S, reached 7,203 units delivered in the same month. In contrast, Li Auto experienced a slight sales dip, delivering 30,468 new vehicles, down just under 1% year-on-year. FAW’s Venucia brand sold 21,490 EVs in Anhui province, a 170% rise that highlights growing regional strengths.
2026 Year-to-Date Delivery Trends
So far this year, Jihu Auto logged cumulative deliveries of over 104,000 units, a significant jump of 80.25%. Yipai Technology and other emerging brands also showed positive growth, with Yipai delivering nearly 140,000 vehicles year-to-date, up 5%.
