Hyundai has presented the new 2027 Tucson, showcasing a significant change in style with a boxy, muscular look and an updated interior featuring a large unified display. While detailed information about the new model is limited, the new Tucson is set for dealership arrival this winter.
Sharp New Look and Bigger Size
The fifth-generation Tucson marks a clear departure from the softer curves of the previous model. Now sporting a more angular and rugged appearance, it resembles a smaller version of Hyundai’s Santa Fe, with a distinct upright grille crossed by slim horizontal headlights. The rear features slim vertical taillights connected by a horizontal LED strip, reinforcing the Tucson’s new bold image.
Its dimensions have grown to 4,700 millimeters (185.0 inches) long, 1,905 millimeters (75.0 inches) wide, and 1,685 millimeters (66.3 inches) tall, riding on a 2,785-millimeter (109.6-inch) wheelbase. The wide muscular wheel arches hint at a tougher and more confident character compared to its predecessor.

Inside, the Tucson adopts a cleaner and more modern style. A large, single glass panel combines the digital instrument cluster and the central touchscreen, replacing traditional segmented screens. Hyundai has not confirmed powertrain updates yet, but reports suggest that the new Tucson will likely keep the current engine options. This includes a 2.5-liter four-cylinder available both as a traditional petrol and with hybrid assistance, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Buyers will be able to choose between front-wheel drive or Hyundai’s HTRAC all-wheel drive system.
The base price of the outgoing Tucson is $28,705 (approx. €27,000), but the new model is expected to be priced higher, reflecting its size increase and upgraded technology.
