Dacia has unveiled the new Striker, a car that combines features of an estate, SUV, and saloon into one affordable package. Expected to start under €30,000, the Striker offers versatility and decent technology in a compact, practical design.
Powertrain Options
The Dacia Striker is expected to come with two main hybrid options:

- Striker Hybrid 155: A 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with 108 hp paired with a 48 hp electric motor, a 1.4 kWh battery, and an automatic gearbox.
- Striker Hybrid 150 4×4: A 1.2-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine driving the front wheels, combined with a rear-axle electric motor and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic. This setup enables all-wheel drive and offers multiple driving modes like eco, snow, mud/sand, and off-road, plus hill descent control.
Design and Features
Dacia describes the Striker as merging the space of an estate, the style of an SUV, and the driveability of a saloon. The exterior features a blend of flowing lines and bold, vertical shapes emphasizing its mixed-use nature. Inside, the cabin is practical and familiar, with:
- A standard 10.1-inch central touchscreen
- Digital instrument cluster
- Six-speaker Arkamys audio system
- Physical buttons for key functions
- Optional panoramic roof
- 600-litre boot with automatic hatch
The interior uses more recycled materials than Dacia’s Bigster and Duster models, underlining its eco-friendly approach. Seating is spacious enough for five occupants and their luggage.

Trim Levels and Safety
The Striker is expected to be available in four trims: Essential, Expression, Extreme, and top-spec Journey. Safety and driver assistance features include:
- Emergency braking
- Traffic sign recognition
- Speed alert
- Lane departure warning
- Adaptive cruise control
- Auto hold function
Why It Matters
The Dacia Striker aims to offer a versatile and affordable vehicle that fits multiple roles without breaking the bank. Its hybrid powertrains, practical interior, and broad safety tech could make it an appealing option for buyers seeking a capable, everyday car that can handle varied driving needs. Pricing under €30,000 positions it as a competitive choice versus traditional compact SUVs and estates.
