Unofficial digital renderings recently circulated online give a clear view of what the i4 Convertible might look like. The design embraces elements seen in other Neue Klasse models such as a visor-style front “face,” and taillights reminiscent of the BMW XM or X6.
Inside, the cabin is expected to follow the i3 Sedan’s updated interior. This includes a pillar-to-pillar display across the bottom of the windshield, a floating infotainment screen, and an unusual steering wheel shape. The 2+2 seating layout will remain consistent with today’s 4 Series Convertible, accommodating four passengers.
Timeline and Positioning Within BMW’s Range
Industry reports align on a 2028 launch for the i4 Convertible, positioning it to arrive shortly before the current 4 Series Convertible ceases production. Additionally, this rollout would come a year after BMW phases out the current i4 Gran Coupe.
