At the 2026 Paris Motor Show, Alpine surprised visitors with the A310 VISION, a bold prototype inspired by the classic 1970s A310 sports car. While Alpine says this concept doesn’t directly preview a production model, it clearly nods to an electric future for the brand, hinting at a new generation of sporty EVs.
A Modern Take on a Classic French Sports Car
The A310 VISION pays tribute to Alpine’s historic sports coupe, known for its pop-up headlights and unique wheel designs. This concept updates those vintage elements with a fresh, striking design. Its wide body measures 4.55 metres long, 2.03 metres wide at the rear, and is just 1.18 metres tall, with a 2.45-metre wheelbase—the latter dimensions confirmed by Alpine.
Alpine calls the A310 VISION an independent design exploration rather than a preview of a production model. But the design clearly imagines what the A310 might look like if made today, using modern materials like aluminium and a sleek, semi-transparent dome roof. The rear adopts a futuristic shooting brake style with aerodynamic touches.

Sporty and Aerodynamic Features Highlighted
The concept sports wide fenders and aerodynamic alloy wheels shaped like the letter “A,” recalling the solid wheels from Alpine’s earliest cars. The front integrates headlights that unfold downward when starting the car, adding both style and function.
The sculpted hood includes an S-duct air channel, channeling airflow over the car and enhancing aerodynamics. A sharp line flows from front to rear, drawing the eye to a split rear spoiler and leaf-shaped taillights designed to improve rear downforce.

Interior and Platform Suggest Future Direction
Inside, visible only through the dome roof, the A310 VISION features organic-shaped seats and a mix of eye-catching colours with physical controls inspired by audio equipment.
Alpine stresses the concept is built on its new Alpine Performance Platform (APP), designed for the upcoming third generation of the Alpine A110. This platform focuses on delivering sporty dynamics while keeping modular flexibility, allowing Alpine to explore new shapes and sizes.
Details about powertrain, battery, or range are not available. Still, Alpine is said to be working on a sporty four-seat sedan under the A310 name, which may share this platform.
More details about Alpine’s electric future are expected as the company prepares to launch new models based on this fresh design approach.
