Alfa Romeo has shared another teaser image of its Cuorerosso concept, focusing on a rare taillight design that stands apart from the brand’s current models. The car is set to make its official debut at the Paris Motor Show on October 12, and this preview highlights a new approach to rear lighting.
Distinctive Three-Part Taillight Design
The teaser reveals a rounded taillight split into three curved, illuminated sections. These light segments create a sense of depth by leaving a dark inner area open, contrasting sharply against the black panel that houses the lights. The car’s red bodywork frames this setup, emphasizing Alfa Romeo’s attention to styling through lighting rather than shape alone.
The image also shows how reflections play across the upper rear body panels, but the design still keeps much of the overall rear shape hidden, maintaining an air of mystery about the complete form.

Unconfirmed Powertrain and Features
Alongside the new images, speculation persists about what powers the Cuorerosso concept. Alfa Romeo released a video featuring an engine sound that some believe hints at a V6. However, the company has not confirmed any mechanical specifications, power output, or whether the car uses rear-wheel drive despite a brief clip showing the concept sliding sideways.
The side mirror design adds another unusual element. Instead of camera mirrors, Cuorerosso uses traditional glass mirrors encased in housings split into 11 sections, including three colored accents referencing the Italian flag.

Design Echoes Alfa Romeo’s Heritage
The Cuorerosso name, announced in late September, blends “heart” and “red,” symbolizing Alfa Romeo’s emotional connection to its customers. Its design draws inspiration from iconic past concepts like the Nuvola and Carabo, while incorporating modern lighting details such as small carbon-framed front lights and a possibly illuminated Alfa Romeo badge on the grille.
This concept was developed by the same team behind Alfa Romeo’s production cars and aims to preview the styling direction for future models, although Alfa Romeo has not clarified if or when Cuorerosso might reach production.
The Cuorerosso will be shown at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from October 12 to 18, alongside the current Alfa Romeo lineup, the 33 Stradale, and a classic Spider Duetto celebrating the Arese museum’s 60th anniversary.
