Jeep Releases Limited 2026 Grand Cherokee in Fathom Blue for Mexico

Jeep is introducing a special edition of the 2026 Grand Cherokee in Mexico with only 71 units painted in Fathom Blue. This limited series features the brand’s new 324-hp Hurricane4 turbocharged four-cylinder engine and includes two model versions to suit different needs.

Limited Edition Details and Pricing

The special run consists of 50 two-row Summit models and 21 three-row Grand Cherokee L Limited variants. Both configurations share the distinctive Fathom Blue color, giving them a unique presence in the Mexican market. Pricing starts at about 1,463,900 Mexican pesos (around $81,400) for the Grand Cherokee L Limited, while the Summit is listed at 1,703,900 pesos (approximately $94,700).

Luxury Features and Practical Upgrades

The Summit trim includes Palermo leather front seats with a massage function, a suede headliner, and refined Oak and Liquid Chrome interior trim, making it the most upscale option in the lineup. It also has Quadra-Trac II four-wheel drive and air suspension for adjustable ride height depending on driving conditions.

For those needing more space, the Grand Cherokee L Limited offers a third row and extra room for passengers and cargo. Rear-seat USB ports help keep devices charged when all seats are occupied.

Technology and Infotainment Enhancements

All 2026 Grand Cherokees now come with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. Higher trims can have a 10.25-inch front passenger display, a premium 19-speaker McIntosh audio system, the FamCAM rear-seat monitoring camera, and Active Driving Assist for improved safety and convenience.

The New Hurricane4 Engine

The standout mechanical update is Jeep’s 2.0-liter turbocharged Hurricane4 engine, producing 324 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Most of the torque (80%) is available by 2,300 rpm, with full torque usable from 3,000 to 4,500 rpm. The engine is built in Michigan at Stellantis’ Dundee plant.

The Hurricane4 employs Turbulent Jet Ignition technology, which starts combustion in a small pre-chamber before igniting the main chamber. This method improves combustion speed and efficiency, balancing power and fuel economy in a midsize SUV package.

Exterior Updates and Availability

The 2026 Grand Cherokee refresh keeps the iconic seven-slot grille but adds updated lighting and revised front and rear bumpers. The Fathom Blue color further distinguishes this limited edition. However, only the 71 units in Mexico will be available in this shade.

Jeep’s special edition adds exclusivity for Mexican customers interested in the refreshed Grand Cherokee with a sporty new four-cylinder engine and premium features wrapped in a rare color.
