Hyundai will reveal the all-new BAYON SUV at the Paris Motor Show in October 2026. This B-segment SUV, key to Hyundai’s European strategy, has been fully redesigned and is ready to take on a competitive market with fresh styling and new technology.
Complete Makeover for the BAYON
The new BAYON departs significantly from the previous generation, keeping only the name. The body no longer follows a typical crossover shape but adopts a more traditional SUV look with sharper wheel arches, a taller front end, and a flatter hood. Its profile is more upright, making it stand out in the crowded small SUV segment.
Both the headlights and taillights continue to feature Hyundai’s “H”-shaped light signature but with a modern twist. These details were also noticeable in spy photos taken during development in southern Europe.
Interior and Technology Upgrades
Inside, Hyundai has equipped the BAYON with a brand-new cabin featuring two large digital screens on the dashboard. The update brings the BAYON in line with other modern Hyundai models, offering advanced comfort, connectivity, and safety technologies grouped under Hyundai’s SmartSense system.
Powertrain and Versions Still Unclear
Hyundai has not confirmed whether the new BAYON will offer an N Line sporty trim or bring back hybrid technology. The current version available in Spain dropped the mild-hybrid system by late 2025, relying only on a 1.0-litre T-GDi engine without an ECO label. If hybrid technology returns, it would be a reintroduction rather than a new feature.
Launch Details
The official unveiling is scheduled for October 12, 2026, coinciding with the opening day of the Paris Motor Show. Full technical specs, design details, and the European launch timeline will be announced then. Pricing and equipment details are expected closer to the market launch, likely in early 2027, potentially alongside the start of order bookings.
