Alfa Romeo Junior MY27 Refines Interior and Adds New Customization Options

Alfa Romeo has updated its Junior model for the 2027 model year, focusing mainly on improving the cabin’s quality and expanding customization choices. The exterior design remains largely unchanged, while the interior gains softer materials, new upholstery options, and revised trim details to enhance comfort and style.

Interior Upgrades Highlight Softer Materials and New Trims

The MY27 Junior introduces door panels with soft-touch surfaces and contrast stitching, along with updated finishes on the dashboard and center tunnel. The base Junior and Sprint trims come with the Icona interior that pairs black fabric seats with gray accents and stitching. Higher trims like the Ti and Veloce receive the sporty Carbon interior, which includes red highlights and Microcloud upholstery extending to the dashboard, tunnel, and doors.

For those seeking a more performance-focused look, optional Sabelt seats trimmed in Alcantara are available. Additionally, the Luna Rossa Edition features a unique gray 3D Knit fabric along with exclusive cabin details, widening personalization without affecting the powertrain.

Powertrain and Exterior Features Remain Consistent

The update keeps the existing range of engines and drivetrains. The Junior, Sprint, Ti, and Luna Rossa trims continue to offer a 145-hp hybrid powertrain with front-wheel drive or Q4 all-wheel drive options, plus a 156-hp electric variant. The sportier Veloce trim retains its 280-hp electric motor, lowered ride height by 25 mm, Alcon brakes, and a Torsen limited-slip differential.

The captured prototype sports visual cues associated with the Veloce version, such as two-tone 19-inch wheels, red brake calipers, and red accents on the side skirts and rear bumper. Alfa Romeo now offers a total of seven wheel designs ranging from 17 to 20 inches, including newly introduced 19-inch four-opening and 18-inch three-hole styles.

Strong Sales and Broad Market Presence Support Interior Focus

Since its launch, the Junior has become Alfa Romeo’s best-selling model in the first half of 2026 and is available in 45 countries worldwide. Electric versions account for 16% of sales. By upgrading the interior, Alfa Romeo aims to reinforce the appeal of its most commercially important model and offer more cabin personalization choices to meet diverse buyer preferences.

The Junior originally debuted as the Milano in April 2024 but quickly adopted the Junior name, connecting to Alfa Romeo’s 1966 GT 1300 Junior heritage. The compact B-SUV marked the brand’s return to the segment and introduced Alfa Romeo’s first electric vehicle, which has since been complemented by a hybrid lineup.
