Subaru is marking key milestones for its WRX and BRZ models with special limited editions set for 2027. These editions pay tribute to the WRX’s 25th anniversary in the US and the BRZ’s 15th year, focusing on manual transmissions, unique styling, and small but meaningful performance tweaks.
WRX GD25 Focuses on Rally Heritage
The 2027 WRX GD25 will come exclusively in the signature World Rally Blue paint. It features gold 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires, alongside Brembo brakes with matching gold calipers for enhanced stopping power.
One standout is the carbon-fiber swan-neck rear wing borrowed from Travis Pastrana’s WRX ARA25L rally car, emphasizing the WRX’s motorsport roots. The suspension also gets an upgrade with stiffer springs and revised damping for improved handling, plus a flexible strut tower brace to stiffen the chassis. Power remains the same 271-horsepower 2.4-liter turbo flat-four, mated only to a six-speed manual with an STI short shifter for a more engaging drive.
Inside, the WRX GD25 offers Recaro seats trimmed with black Ultrasuede and red stitching, reinforcing its sporty image. Subaru plans to build 350 of these WRX units, aiming for a mid-2027 launch.

BRZ ZC15 Celebrates Sport Coupé Legacy
The BRZ ZC15 is painted in Ceramic White, a color exclusive to the first-generation BRZ, enhancing its special edition status. It rides on matte bronze wheels, a nod to the 2020 BRZ tS, and sports red brake calipers with bronze decals for a distinctive look. A black decklid spoiler adds a subtle performance touch.
Underneath, Subaru adds a flexible V-bar to improve chassis rigidity, but the 2.4-liter boxer engine remains at 228 horsepower, paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox. Production for the BRZ ZC15 will be limited to only 300 units, with deliveries expected early in 2027.

Manual Transmission and Limited Numbers Highlight Engagement
Both limited editions emphasize manual transmissions, appealing to enthusiasts who prefer a direct driving experience. This approach highlights Subaru’s commitment to the sporty character of these models rather than offering automatic alternatives.
Subaru has yet to release pricing details, but these will be announced close to the launch dates. With limited production and unique design touches, the WRX GD25 and BRZ ZC15 offer focused appeal for fans of Subaru’s sporty lineup.
