Mini has introduced a new special edition called the Rooftop Editions, which is the fifth of eight limited-edition models planned for this year. This edition is based on the Cooper S, available in both two-door and four-door versions.
Distinctive Two-Tone Color Schemes Highlight the Design
The Rooftop Editions draw their name from Mini’s signature contrasting roof design, featuring a “color reversal” style. There are two color options:
- One version has an Indigo Sunset Blue Metallic body with a Melting Silver III Metallic roof and mirror caps.
- The other reverses this, sporting a Melting Silver III Metallic body with an Indigo Sunset Blue Metallic roof and mirrors.
Both versions also have contrasting stripes on the hood and tailgate, adding to their unique look.

Interior and Equipment Focus on Comfort and Sportiness
Inside, the Rooftop Editions largely keep the standard Cooper S layout but add John Cooper Works sport seats with “Mini” branding on the seatbacks. The cabin trims feature black Vescin material, with contrast stitching on the steering wheel and blue accents on the dashboard.
Equipment highlights include 17-inch wheels, piano black exterior trim, and electrically adjustable front seats with active driver seat functions. The special editions build on the Iconic trim and come with the Comfort Package Plus, which adds adaptive cruise control with start-stop, augmented reality navigation, and Parking Assist Plus for easier parking.
Additional features include an automatic anti-glare rearview mirror, wireless phone charging, a Harman Kardon premium sound system, and keyless entry.

Performance Details and Pricing
The car is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 201 horsepower (150 kW) and 299 Nm of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The two-door model can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h (0-60 mph) in 6.3 seconds.
Pricing starts at $39,995 for the two-door, with an additional $1,350 destination fee. The four-door version begins at $40,995 before destination charges. Deliveries are expected to begin in October.
The Rooftop Editions add fresh style and equipment to the Cooper S range, offering buyers a unique appearance combined with solid performance.
