Mercedes-Benz has updated its 2027 C-Class sedan, giving it a sharper look and smarter interior features. The refresh brings the compact luxury model closer in style to the recently redesigned S-Class while introducing new technology, including an advanced AI assistant.
Updated Exterior Details Highlight New Design Language
The 2027 C-Class features a redesigned front end with a larger grille that extends lower into the bumper. The grille is framed by black trim connecting to the headlights, a design cue taken from the latest S-Class update. An illuminated Mercedes badge sits prominently in the grille’s center, surrounded by a chrome border with an LED strip just inside.
Both the headlights and taillights now showcase the three-pointed star motif, a pattern spreading across Mercedes’ lineup. New lighting elements include a puddle lamp projecting the Mercedes-Benz logo beside the car and LED projectors in the side sills that cast a unique pattern on the ground.
Wheel options have expanded with a new 18-inch design plus two 19-inch AMG styles. Buyers can choose from two fresh paint colors called Miami Silver Metallic and Moody Sky Grey Metallic. A new AMG Line Plus package offers a sportier look with sports seats featuring red contrast stitching and red seatbelts.

Interior Upgrades Focus on Controls and AI Assistance
Inside, the cabin retains much of its current look but gains a redesigned steering wheel that now includes a physical scroll wheel for controlling audio volume. The dashboard features an 11.9-inch touchscreen alongside a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The MB.OS software platform has been upgraded and supports full vehicle software updates over the air.
The C-Class introduces a new AI-based virtual assistant that uses technologies like ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing, and Google Gemini. Mercedes says the assistant can handle complex conversations and remember recent interactions, helping with tasks such as selecting music or identifying songs when you can’t remember the title or artist.
Additional interior features include a Burmester surround sound system with Dolby Atmos and 15 speakers, 64-color ambient lighting, two new upholstery shades (Beech Brown and Cherry Red), and updated trim options in Natural Grain Birch Wood and High-Gloss Silver Metallic.

Powertrain and Driving Refinements
The updated 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine remains rated at 255 hp and 295 Nm of torque but benefits from a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This setup adds an integrated starter-generator that can deliver 23 hp and 205 Nm of torque at low revs. A new electric auxiliary compressor assists the turbocharger for quicker spool-up and smoother acceleration.
Additionally, a boost function temporarily adds 27 hp for 20 seconds to improve performance when needed. Mercedes has retuned the suspension for sharper handling and adjusted the dampers to reduce body roll. The side mirrors have been reshaped to cut down on wind noise, contributing to quieter cabin conditions. The C-Class also gains an augmented reality head-up display, matching the feature introduced on the S-Class.

Availability and Pricing
The refreshed 2027 C-Class will reach U.S. dealerships in the first half of next year. While pricing details are not yet available, the new model is expected to start slightly above the current 2026 version, which begins around $51,000.
